AI assists the work. Chris and Darren remain responsible for source checks, commercial judgment, and obtaining client approvals. Each workflow uses the systems and access agreed for the engagement.

THE FIRST 90 DAYS

A focused start. A useful foundation.

Start with a scoped 90-day plan. We agree the priority, the work we own, your involvement, and how progress will be measured. The sales cycle and starting point determine the pace.

01 / FOCUS

Choose the commercial priority.

Review your customers and active opportunities. Agree the buyer, offer, initial channel, responsibilities, and measures. Begin the highest-value sales work.

02 / EXECUTE

Work the opportunities together.

Research targets, develop outreach and sales materials, support conversations, and manage agreed follow-up. Review the pipeline and customer response each week.

03 / BUILD

Give the next person a process.

Document what works and what still needs testing. Define the next role, prepare onboarding, and transfer responsibilities when the business is ready.

HOW WE ENGAGE

Clear ownership. Shared accountability.

Every engagement has a defined scope, a working cadence, and agreed measures. For selected clients, that can include a performance-based fee.

50%Performance-based option
AVAILABLE FOR SELECTED ENGAGEMENTS

Put half the fee behind an agreed result.

For selected engagements, 50% of the fee is fixed and 50% depends on an agreed target. If we miss the target by the agreed deadline, the conditional half is not payable.

How eligibility and terms work
  • Available for selected engagements where the product, customer evidence, access, and responsibilities support a credible target.
  • The baseline, measure, attribution, responsibilities, deadline, and fee split are agreed in writing before work starts.
  • The fixed half remains payable. A missed conditional fee is waived, not deferred or converted to a future credit.
  • A 90-day operating plan does not promise a fixed revenue result or completed hire.
EXPERIENCE / THE WORK BEFORE REBAR

QUESTIONS / ANSWERED

A few good questions.

The scope should be clear before the work begins.

What is a fractional CRO?

A fractional chief revenue officer provides senior revenue leadership on an agreed part-time basis. Rebar combines that leadership with scoped sales, business-development, and operating work. We define who does each part before starting.

Who is Rebar CRO for?

Early-stage B2B companies with a working product, early customer evidence, and founder-dependent selling. Seed and Series A companies are a useful starting point, along with selected Series B and bootstrapped businesses in the same operating situation.

What work do you actually take on?

An engagement can include targeting, outreach, sales conversations, opportunity follow-up, partner development, custom demos, CRM processes, and hiring preparation. We agree the priority and delivery capacity so the founder knows what Rebar owns each week.

Do you work alongside the founder?

Yes. We help prepare and run the agreed commercial work. The founder stays involved in customer learning, product decisions, major commercial commitments, and hiring decisions. The goal is to make more of the work transferable over time.

Can we start with a custom demo or one channel?

Yes. A focused demo, partner opportunity, or sales project can be scoped around a specific need. We agree the deliverable, responsibilities, fee, and next decision before starting.

How does the 50% performance option work?

For selected engagements, half the fee is fixed and half is payable only if an agreed target is achieved by its deadline. The baseline, attribution, responsibilities, and target are defined in writing. If the target is missed, the conditional half is not payable.

What happens during the first 90 days?

We establish the commercial focus, run the agreed sales or partnership work, and document what the response tells us. The initial plan includes regular reviews and a decision about what to continue, change, or transfer. Results and hiring timing depend on the business and sales cycle.

How do you use AI?

AI can assist research, briefs, sales materials, prototypes, and recurring operating work. People remain responsible for source checks, commercial judgment, client approvals, and external commitments. We build workflows around the client's authorized systems and needs.

Is Rebar CRO free like Payments?

Rebar CRO is a paid service with an agreed scope and fee. Rebar Payments is a separate practice with no Rebar advisory fees. Payment-provider fees and terms still apply to the Payments offering.

How do we start?

Request a 20-minute CRO call and share your company website, stage, and immediate sales priority. We use the conversation to understand the situation, assess fit, and identify a useful next step.
